Marine Patrol

New Buffalo Police Department is a great opportunity for Police Officers looking to start their career. Every year we hire and certify officers for our Marine Program.  Marine Division operates between April 1st and ends October 31.

Marine Officers are responsible for patrolling the city beach maintaining the safety and welfare of all visitors, and enforcing city ordinances and state laws. As well as responding to calls on the  approximately 16  miles of shoreline in neighboring jurisdictions’.
