NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND SPECIAL ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING

In accordance with the Michigan Open Meetings Act, Public Act 267 of 1976, MCL 15.261, et. seq., the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at a special meeting on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 5:00 PM*

The purpose of this meeting is for variance request by the owners listed below:

  • David Gladish, owner of 208 W. Mechanic Street, New Buffalo, MI 49117. The applicant requests a variance approval to reduce front yard setback from 30 feet to 20 feet and rear yard setback from 30 feet to 26 feet.

 

Zoning District: GCD (General Commercial District)

Said property is located at 208 W. Mechanic Street, New Buffalo, MI 49117. Property Tax Code is 11-62-0340-0078-01-2.

  • Benediktas Puskunigis, owner of 100 Peninsula Drive, New Buffalo, MI 49117. The applicant requests variance approvals for the following items:
  • To reduce required minimum lot area from 15,000 square feet to 2,304 square feet.
  • To reduce required minimum lot width from 100 feet to 72 feet.
  • To reduce required rear setback from 10 feet to 0 feet.
  • To increase required maximum building height from 35 feet to 40 feet.

 Zoning District: WM (Waterfront Marina District)

Said property is located at 100 Peninsula Drive, New Buffalo, MI 49117. Property Tax Code is 11-62-6100-0100-00-0.
